Local Crafts and Gifts

  • Clare (the plant lady)

The Dorothy House plant table on Top Lane has become a popular local fixture and we were thrilled when Clare offered to split her seedlings to supply a plant table for Whitley Stores. Great quality plants lovingly and locally tended. She is also selling some very cute “button flowers” in the shop.

  • Dance Tutus

Claire creates the most spectacular tutus for dancers; whilst we don’t stock these, we are fortunate to be able to stock her garden kneelers and cosmetic bags, all crafted from practical waterproof fabric.

  • Donna Lambert Jewellery

Donna lives in Shurnhold (and is responsible for the affordable “flowers in a barrow” on the side of the road). She has a unique range of pendants, earrings and brooches that she creates using enamels, copper and silver, which we are lucky enough to stock. Perfect gift material, or just as a treat for yourself!

  • Evan's Photography

Evan lives in Whitley, and is studying photography at Bath Spa University. He supplies us with cards using evocative images he has taken around Wiltshire and Bath. These are available in packs of 6 or individually.

  • Flora and Wick

A beautiful variety of differently scented reed diffusers and candles to suit all budgets. Ellie carefully creates these by hand locally in Shaw.

  • Georgina's Glass

Georgina creates fused glass pieces from her home studio on Shaw Hill. Sets of coasters, hanging suncatchers and recycled flattened bottles (donated by The Pear Tree) which can be used as spoon rests, platters and bowls, mini hearts and bees which are perfect to pop into a greetings card.

  • Mamma Thea

Kay creates a range of body butters, hand balms and soaps from her fabulous studio on Griffin Park, Lacock. Hand-made and delivered, packaged simply and effectively. These are organic and natural.

  • Pam's Cards

The lovely Pam is so talented at turning old greetings cards into new ones. As a result, we have an ever-changing supply of cards for all manner of occasions. Help her to keep them coming by bringing your old card fronts into the shop and popping them in her collecting basket.

  • Peter's Wood-turned Crafts

Peter creates a range of items from his workshop in Shaw. From coffee scoops to creative toothpick holders, and magnetic wooden mice to large bowls – he can turn his hand to create all manner of pieces.

  • The Bee's Knees

Emma keeps bees in and around Corsham and her hone and fudge have been an instant hit in Whitley Stores. We also stock her honey-based lip balm and beeswax food wraps.
