Vacancy for a Part-time Manager for our Community Shop
Shaw and Whitley Community Hub Ltd has a vacancy for a part-time Shop Manager to help us to run Whitley Stores, our local community shop.
The position is a zero hours contract with the expectation of working 16 hours per week @ £13/hour. Working hours can be flexible within the requirements of the job description and we will work with the successful candidate to agree a mutually convenient schedule, but this may be required to include both weekday and weekend shifts.
The Shop Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our vibrant, community-focused shop. The role involves managing volunteers, ensuring exceptional customer service, liaising with suppliers, maintaining stock levels and – most importantly – upholding and fostering the shop’s role as a hub for the local community. A successful Shop Manager will enable Whitley Stores to increase its profitability and expand its offerings to the community.

Experience of working in a retail environment and an understanding of health and safety and food hygiene standards would be a bonus.
